Sustainable Design

Building Performance

With BIM, performance analysis can be done virtually, which includes even the performance of design in the initial stages of conception. This allows us to quickly evaluate design alternatives and make better decisions to iterate on a greener design. A BIM-based design model consists of a plethora of information necessary for all facets of sustainable design.

Iterative Analysis

At Techture, we ensure that we perform iterative analysis on the model from the concept stage itself, which can positively impact the design right from the shape of the building to minute details like the carbon content in the building materials.

Green Building Certification

The data from BIM Model can be leveraged at various stages of the project to perform various kinds of checks and tests to validate the model against certification standards of agencies like LEED, GRIHA, IGBC etc.

As building growth intersects with environmental concerns, sustainable design is a new field which deals with designing, constructing and operating buildings in a manner that minimizes environmental impact.

The BIM models undergo Sustainable analysis tests which are helpful in designing a building according to various Green Building Criteria like solar studies, wind analysis, thermal analysis etc.

The workflow at Techture enables design optimization by offering multiple green alternatives to the existing model by experimenting with different materials, building orientation etc. Thus, Techture is able to provide structures which are compliant with global sustainability standards.
  • Ability to create drawings and designs from the model itself, thus increasing the efficiency and accuracy of green certification.
  • Schedules of building material quantities that can be used to determine the percentages of material reuse, recycling and salvage.
  • Allows pursuit of various sustainable design options in parallel.
  • Use of advanced visualization techniques for solar studies and to produce 3D renderings and construction animations from a sustainability standpoint.
  • A digital 3D model supports better understanding and collaborative communication among various stakeholders.
Sustainable Design

The sustainability of a new building is based on many factors including water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, etc. These factors are heavily influenced by a building’s architectural design, site design and supporting civil infrastructure, and of course the design of the building systems.
